Banglalink distributes relief-goods in Jashore as a part of the nationwide post-flood relief program

Dhaka,  5  October,  2017:  Banglalink,  one  of  the  leading  digital  communications  service providers in Bangladesh, has distributed relief goods among the flood-victims of Jessore area through Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) as a part of its nationwide post-flood relief program.  650 packets of  relief  good  were  distributed  at  the  program  held  at  Pajia  Union Parishad of Keshabpur Upazilla, Jashore.

Taimur  Rahman,  Chief  Corporate  and  Regulatory  Affairs  Officer,  Banglalink;  Md.  Mehedi Hasan,  Corporate  Responsibility Program  Manager,  Banglalink;  Saifuzzaman  Pikul,  District Council Chairman (Jela Parishad Chairman); Jahid Hasan Tukun, BDRCS Jashore Unit Secretary and  Md  Khaliur  Rahman,  Deputy  Director,  Admin,  BDRCS  were  present  at  the program.

Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink said, “Considering the post-flood crisis of the affected people, Banglalink has taken this relief distributing initiative. As a socially responsible corporate entity, it is our responsibility to stretch our helping hands towards the flood-victims. We hope our initiative will alleviate their suffering to some extent.”

Jahid Hasan Tukun, BDRCS Jashore Unit Secretary said, “We must continue our joint efforts for the flood victims in the post-disaster period as well. People of our country must come forward in this regard. Our organization appreciates the initiative taken by Banglalink.”

Approximately, 90 lakh people from 33 Zillas were affected by the devastating flood that hit Bangladesh  in  August.  Banglalink  has  already  donated  Tk  1.5  crore  to  Bangladesh  Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) and held joint post-flood relief programs in 10 zillas to help the flood victims. Banglalink is committed to taking similar initiatives whenever the country is hit by such calamities.
